James A. Wall, Sr.
Former hospital executive and CEO James A. Wall, Sr., of Oxford, has been appointed as AARP North Carolina’s new state president to lead thousands of volunteers from across the state working to improve the well-being of North Carolinians age 50 and above.
Wall has served in executive positions at Duke Medical Center, New Jersey Medical School/University Hospital Cancer Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Richland Memorial Hospital and the University of Maryland Medical System. A graduate of North Carolina Central University, he earned his Masters in Health Administration at Duke University.
