The sixth annual Second Spring Arts festival will be open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the Milton Rhodes Center in Winston-Salem. It will close at 6 p.m. with a reception and an awards ceremony for winners in the literary and visual venues. The festival is free with free parking as well.
Highlights of this year’s festival will be a panel of authors, who will answer questions on getting started in writing, discussions and a presentation by Dr. Jonathan Burdette, father of the Dan River Girls, who will discuss the effect of music on the brain.
