Well•Spring, A Life Plan Community, invites media to cover holiday tree decorating contest.

WHAT:  Coverage of Well•Spring’s 2019 holiday tree-decorating contest benefiting area nonprofits. Voting continues until Dec. 17, and the contest will conclude Thursday, Dec. 19, with a reception and check presentation ceremony. Reporters and photographers are invited to not only attend the reception, but to visit Well•Spring throughout the next two weeks to gather information on and photography of a fun holiday-themed story.

WHEN:  Voting is now until Tuesday, Dec. 17. The closing reception and check presentation will take place during the reception on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 5:30-7 p.m.

WHERE:  Well•Spring, A Life Plan Community, 4100 Well Spring Drive, off Drawbridge Parkway between Battleground Avenue and Horse Pen Creek Road

BACKGROUND

Well-Spring - Tree Decorating ContestGREENSBORO, N.C. – Well•Spring, A Life Plan Community is hosting a Holiday Tree Decorating Contest for nine local nonprofits. The trees are now on display and open for voting until Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in the main building of our campus at 4100 Well Spring Drive. Individuals visiting Well•Spring during this time may vote for their favorite tree. The organization receiving the most votes will receive a $2,500 charitable contribution from Well•Spring. The remaining eight organizations will each receive a $500 charitable contribution for participating.

The nonprofit organizations that are participating are:

  • A Simple Gesture
  • Animal Rescue and Foster Program
  • Creative Aging Network
  • Elsewhere
  • Greensboro Council of Garden Clubs
  • Greensboro Opera
  • Reconsidered Goods
  • Restoration Place Counseling
  • Shepherd’s Center

“The tree decorating contest has become not only a fun experience for our residents but also a meaningful way for Well•Spring to give back to our area’s nonprofit community,” said Lynn Wooten, vice president of Marketing & Public Relations. “We invite people to come out to Well•Spring, enjoy this special holiday setting and vote for your favorite tree.”

A closing reception will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19. Reporters and photographers are invited to cover this event. Representatives of participating nonprofits, along with Well•Spring officials, will be available for interviews.
