David Sexton, Executive Director of Abbotswood at Stonehenge welcomed the Retirement Resource Guide to join in on the fun at their 21st Annual Pig Pickin’. Residents and their families were invited to come together and celebrate a new summer. The delicious traditional fixin’s were prepared and overseen by Dining Service Director, Jimmy Bateman, who has been with the community for 23 years. A favorite of Abbotswood residents, The Bloomsbury Boys provided live old fashioned music. Meanwhile The Crazy Axe held fun and friendly axe throwing competitions out back.
This event is a great example of the small town feel cultivated by Abbotswood at Stonehenge and the value the community places on the connection between residents and their friends and families.
