Rehabilitation patients at Salemtowne have a wonderfully sunny courtyard, the Rehab Courtyard Garden, in which to practice navigating sidewalks, grassy surfaces, or even brick stairs like they may have at home. Two long-time friends of Salemtowne who have been donors, board members, and are now residents, have transformed the space beyond the original courtyard, which was already a wonderful area, into a beautiful garden, which short-term patients, residents and their guests can all enjoy. Layers of blooming plants add beauty and interest and attract butterflies, creating a relaxing, peaceful and interesting backdrop for a stroll, some physical therapy, or just enjoying some fresh air and natural beauty.
Emily Rector, Vice President of Development at Salemtowne, shares more about the garden and gives a look at this beautiful space.
