Veteran journalist Ray Suarez, permanent host of Al Jazeera America’s daily Inside Story, will address the UNCG Friends of the Library annual meeting on March 29 in Elliott University Center. Ray Suarez has over 30 years experience in the news business, as a reporter for CNN and ABC, as well as the host of Talk of the Nation on NPR. Known for his expertise on quintessentially American issues, including demographics, race, and religion, he covers everything from Congress and the White House to the role of the media in shaping policy.
Suarez is the author of The Old Neighborhood; What We Lost in the Great Suburban Migration: 1966-1999; The Holy Vote: The Politics of Faith in America, winner of a Latino Book Award for Best Religion Book, and his latest, Latino Americans: The 500-Year Legacy That Shaped a Nation.
